IN MEMORIAM
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lew Hands. To the many who knew Lew this will come as a great shock as it does to us. Lew had worked at Timeless since 2002 with the founder Cap Szumski and had built a reputation of skillful tattooing that was respected amongst his clients and fellow tattooers. He had the distinct privilege of being the first tattoo many locals received and then to be trusted when the time came around for their kids to be tattooed. No tattoo was too small, too big, too complex, too simple, too ridiculous, or too serious for Lew to do. To say he will be missed by his clients and by the folks who had the opportunity to work with him is an understatement. Always the calming presence in any situation it will be hard to know what to do without him. His loving wife, Sasha and family are in our thoughts during this difficult time.
As we mourn, we know we mourn as a community and thank you for your support.
A naturally artist gifted with innate creativity, Lew started tattooing in 1997 in Riverdale, Georgia. Having been hand selected and mentored by Cap Szumski, Lew joined Timeless in 2002 and has the honorable distinction of being one of the longest resident tattooers in Timeless history.
Through Timeless’ many stages, he’s been there honing his craft under the scrutinous eye of Cap; the results are reflected in his skills as his work speaks for itself.
